Our History

Bill Leonhardt founded Powertron in 1962. While a lot has changed over the years, a lot has also remained the same. Bill still remains at the helm and the business is still a family effort. Batteries might seem like an odd business to get into, and Bill didn’t get into it in the most conventional of ways. Originally, his profession was home building and design. One day, he and his father decided to get into battery manufacturing as a side business.
